Melancolia Collection
The Melancolia collection was born from my need to explore an emotion that has long been a quiet companion in my life: a joyful sadness, akin to nostalgia. I realised this feeling had always subtly woven itself into my art, and I decided to embrace it fully. This series, which I will unfold in multiple parts, is a visual journey through that space. Today, you can discover its first five paintings.
Night Guardian
Forests have always struck me as deeply melancholic places: silent witnesses to time, change, and quiet introspection. Night Guardian captures The Calm of Dusk, the moment where day surrenders to night. You can see this transition in the shifting colours: the soft, fading light of evening giving way to the deep blues of twilight.
An owl watches over the scene, a guardian of these peaceful and fleeting moments. I wanted to paint this exact feeling: the stillness of dusk, the quiet companionship of nature, and the gentle melancholy that lingers in the air.

For original artworks, please allow up to 4 weeks before shipping. This is due to the curing process of oil paint : if your piece is fresh off the easel, it needs time to fully dry before being varnished and safely prepared for its journey to you.
